How to turn a photo into a coloring page

  1. Step 1

    Upload one photo

A JPG, PNG, or WebP up to 15 MB. The run starts right away and uses your daily free credits when you still have them.

  2. Step 2

    Check the lines

Drag the slider. Look for areas that are too small to color, or patches filled in black.

  3. Step 3

    Download and print

Print it on letter or A4 paper. Run it again for a different version.

What the photo to coloring page tool does

It turns your photo into a coloring book page: clean black outlines on a plain white background, with no shading and no color.

Faces, pets, and the scene stay recognizable, so a child can color their own dog, their family, or themselves.

Busy photos make busy pages. A simple portrait gives large areas for young kids; a garden or a crowd gives fine detail for older kids and adults.

How to get a better coloring page

Tips for the photo you upload.

01

Young kids? Pick a simple photo

One person or one pet on a plain background gives big areas to color.

02

Avoid very dark photos

Dark areas can turn into solid black patches.

03

Crop tight

Crop to the face or the pet so the lines are big and clear.

04

Print on thick paper

Markers and paint bleed less on heavier paper.

What it does not do

  • Very dark areas can come out filled in black. In our cat test, the black patches on the ears and face were solid black, not outlines.
  • It does not control how many areas there are or how thick the lines are.
  • Uploads and results are deleted after 24 hours. The photo is sent to the model provider so the edit can run.
